That’s why our list of questions for the Travel sector contains a relatively high number of questions about the availability of certain information.

According to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP), the biggest cause of CO2 emissions in the travel sector is transport. Within transportation, the single biggest cause of emissions is air travel: flying to and from the travel destination is responsible for 40% of carbon emissions. Sawadee even reports that 80% of carbon emissions of their product is from air transport.
