Answering Guidelines

The brand will receive a yes when the company purchases organic, such as EU organic or USDA, or otherwise certified vegetables and/or fruit for a substantial part. At the moment 'substantial' is not yet translated in to a minimum percentage number, as best practices in the sector do not allow this yet. During the course the criteria may get more tight as best practices improve.

Answer Yes:

  • [Brand] uses organic [or otherwise: ??] certified [grain and/or rice and/or potatoes] for [part of total] (see link/page...).

Answer No:

  • [Brand] explicitly mentions not to buy organic staple products [...] (see link/page)

Answer ?:

  • [Brand] does not communicate any information about use of organic or otherwise certified staple products. Sustainability information should be easily accessible for consumers to make responsible choices.
  • [Brand] mentions to use [organic / otherwise certified] [grain, rice, potatoes], however, it is not clear for what part of total use this is. Sustainability information should be easily accessible for consumers to make responsible choices.
