Question

Has the brand achieved 99,5% global recycling and reusing rate for its solid waste?

  • Dutch version: Is afgelopen jaar teminste 99,5% van het afval van het merk (bedrijf) hergebruikt of gerecycled?
  • German version: Wurden im letzen Jahr mindestens 99,5% des Abfalls der Marke/des Unternehmens wiederverwertet oder recycelt?

This question is related to aspects EN26 and EN27 of the GRI Sustainability Reporting Guidelines & Food Processing Sector Supplement. Grolsch has already achieved a 99.7% global recycling rate, which is slightly above the 99.5% used in this question.

Ranking guidelines

A ‘Yes’ is applicable when:

  • The brand/company has achieved at least 99,5% global recycling and reusing rate for its solid waste

A ‘No’ is applicable when:

  • The brand/company has achieved less than 99,5% global recycling and reuse rate for its solid waste

A ‘?’ is applicable when:

  • The percentage of solid waste recycled or reused is not published on the website

Answering guidelines

Answer Yes:

Answer No:

  • [Brand] has increased the global recycling and reusing rate of its solid waste to […] per hectolitre of production in the past 5 years (see link/page...). Brand performance is less than average the performance for this sector

  • [Brand] does not communicate any information about global recycling and reusing rate of its solid waste, if there is any, on its website. Sustainability information should be easily accessible for consumers to make responsible choices.
